Curly's Story:



They say that a picture says a thousand words; with Curly a picture does not say enough words. Curly’s looks and disposition turns heads wherever he goes. His beautiful expressive face and head along with tons of bone and coat are just a few things that have people talking.



When Curly was 2 weeks old I had to start hand raising him, as he was lactose intolerant. For the next 4 weeks he only had the company of his littermates and mom at night. During the day he kept me company by living in a laundry basket in the family room. It didn’t take him to long to figure out how to get out of that and by 5 weeks pretty much had the run of the upper level of our home.



As they grew his brothers seem to leave him behind, they were twice the size, he also had a very large belly that almost touched the ground. By the time they were 7 weeks old he was almost the same size.



Since I had spent so much time with him it was too hard to let him go, so my heart was won over. I tried to get a friend of mine to take him to train and use as a therapy dog. She was worried that he might have some health problems so she passed on Curly and choose one of his littermates instead. Curly had no front, no angle in the rear, his head was alright, no great coat and he had a gay curly tail, hence his name.
I am so glad so did.


Then he started to really grow and change. By the time he was 3 months old that ugly duckling was our Diamond In The Rough. By the time he was 5 months old I had people already trying to take him off my hands. No way, I could see that God had blessed us and the rest is history.
